Phases, the
Electro-Pop group formerly known as JJAMZ has announced that they’ll be
releasing their first album, For Life September 18th, 2015. Phases released a
single from the new album, “I’m In Love With My Life” which has been wildly
popular, named one of Buzzfeed’s “Songs you can’t miss this summer” and was
remixed by various artists including JR JR and Big Black Delta. In addition to
“I’m In Love With My Life”, Phases has released two other singles from For Life,
“Cooler”, and “Betty Blue”. While creating For Life Phases created a “Inspiring
and Unique” sound, creating something that they loved without regard for
outside opinions. The album is said to permeate love and joy, while still
having a bit of pain intertwined. For Life is supposed to remind us that life
is amazing, while also providing something to dance to. Phases started as JJAMZ
(pronounced Juh-Jamz), which was an acronym comprised of the first letter in
each member’s name. The group changed their name after James Valentine left the
group, making the acronym incomplete.
